Jennifer Carlson, Founder of Baby Gourmet

Jennifer is the Visionary of Baby Gourmet Foods Inc, an organic baby food company specializing in nutritious and delicious packaged food for babies and toddlers.

She successfully launched the Baby Gourmet brand in 2006 at The Calgary Farmers Market and has since built a company with product distributed in major retailers across North America. She leads a team of 13 full-time employees at Baby Gourmet.

Together, she and her team secured national Canadian retail distribution February 2011. Already, Baby Gourmet is available where 75% of all baby food is sold in Canada. Looking forward to international markets, Jen is also leading market entry in the U.S. Since September 2011, Baby Gourmet has been available in Walmart and is nationally distributed through Amazon.

She is the mother of two well-fed children and has a passion for all things culinary. Jen is an inspirational and motivating speaker to women, entrepreneurs and busy moms. In July 2011, Jen was recognized for her leadership and innovation. She was the recipient of the Ernst & Young Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year 2011 (Prairies).

In addition to Jen's award, the company has been receiving a lot of buzz as well. In January of 2012 Baby Gourmet was featured extensively in the Dallas media for providing the first-ever baby food donation received by the North Texas Food Bank. The Baby Gourmet brand reaches hundreds of thousands of moms each month through coverage on TV and in blogs (such as BabyCenter) popular magazines such as Woman's Day, and high-traffic sites such as people.com.
